So a couple months ago I made Twix brownies... they were so ridiculously good :) Well, for Mother's Day I asked my mom if she wanted me to make those again or make the Snickers version. Now, snickers is my mom's FAVORITE candy, so of course she requested Snickers brownies. Here is the amazing recipe for Snickers brownies :) (side note... it is fairly time consuming, but totally worth it)
Snickers Brownies
Brownie Layer
1 box Brownie mix (I used Ghiradelli... yum)
Ingredients called for on box
1/4 cup Hot Fudge Topping, straight from jar
Prepare brownie batter according to package directions for a 9x13 inch pan, add 1/4 hot fudge topping, unheated and straight from jar to the batter. Let cool completely
Nougat Layer
1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Evaporated Milk
2 (7oz) jars of Marshmallow Creme
1/4 Cup Peanut Butter
1 1/2 cups Salted Peanuts, chopped
1 tsp Vanilla
Melt Butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar and milk, stirring until dissolved. Bring to a boil. Add marshmallow creme, peanut butter, and vanilla stirring until smooth. Turn off heat and fold in peanut. Pour evenly over cooled brownies. Use a spatula to help spread the mixture. Let cool in the fridge.
Caramel Layer
1 17 oz. jar of caramel (I used ice cream topping... SO EASY!!)
Scoop caramel topping into a heavy bottomed saucepan and heat over low heat until caramel is soft and easy to store. Pour over nougat layer, covering as much as you can. **Using the ice cream topping, you do not need to heat it, just pour over nougat layer. Stick in freezer for 15 minute.
Candy Bar Topping
1 1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter
Melt both ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until smooth. Pour over nougat layer and cool completely. Put in fridge until chocolate is set. ENJOY!
