Failure...

So it's been quite awhile since I have blogged!  I am loving my job, though I feel like I am so busy now.  I'm so tired when I get home from work, I go workout, make dinner, and then it's time to lounge.  No way do I want to sit on my computer!  So what about the weekends?  Well, that's my time to get other stuff done.  Errands, workout, read my book... not sit on my computer.

So of course tonight, I am sitting on my computer.  I'm enjoying a great night watching some Kardashians and updating my blog.  It's quite glorious.

So a couple weeks ago, Iowa Girl Eats had a recipe for some yummy looking homemade Macaroni and Cheese.  It looked so easy and she made it look so delicious.  One Pot, Stove Top Macaroni and Cheese from her website looks so easy and delicious.  Iowa Girl Eats got this recipe from another website.

I started out by choosing my cheese.  You need about 1 cup of cheese.  I chose some mozzarella and some cheddar, mainly because that was what I had in the fridge.  Plus I might have grated a little more than a half cup of each.  I sure do love my cheese, and you can never have too much, right?

Next up I boiled the noodles in water.  You have to be very careful because milk can burn really easily.  As soon as it starts to boil you need to bring it down to a slight simmer so it doesn't get too hot.  ALSO, you have to stir in CONSTANTLY.  That was the only thing I found annoying by this because I stood at the stove stirring for 20+ minutes.

Once the milk had gotten thick enough and the noodles seemed cooked, I added the cheese.  You really just add the cheese, stir, and once it's melted and creamy you EAT!
I was so excited to sit down and eat my Macaroni and Cheese....  It looked so creamy and I even added extra cheese.  I was so excited!

It was GROSS!  The milk had curdled and there really wasn't ANY flavor.  Not sure what I did wrong because I tried SO hard to stick to the recipe.  I'm thinking I need to try cheese with a stronger flavor, but I have no clue how to prevent the milk from curdling.  I suppose just try again, I shouldn't give up after one failed attempt.

Until next time... I can't wait to share my recipe for my 3 ingredient spaghetti sauce :)  (Again, from Iowa Girl Eats!)
