My favorite author of ALL time

In October, my FAVORITE author of all time came out with a new book.  I was in the middle of another book so I quickly finished the book I was reading so I could dig in.  What's my favorite author you ask?  Nicholas Sparks of course.  Yes, very cheesy and all of his books are so similar.  But I always love his books.  I've read every single one of them and have enjoyed them.  I love that so many of his books are made into movies too.  I always enjoy reading books and then see them made into a movie.  Of course, books are ALWAYS better than the movies, but I still enjoy that.

Well, the book I read was called The Best of Me.  The book is about high school sweethearts that went their separate ways after high school.  The parents of the girl did everything they could to break them up because he was from the "wrong side of the tracks."  Twenty years later they are brought back together because someone that was in their life as teenagers has passed away.  As the story unfolds you learn that they were both connected with this person over the twenty years since high school.

The two sweethearts had not seen each other since they broke up, so of course it is awkward when they do, as expected.  However, they start to spend time together in preparation for the funeral of sorts for the person that passed on.  It's not your ordinary funeral, as this person had planned for the two sweethearts to come back together with no one else around.  I'm sure you can guess what happens next, as the same thing happens in all of his books. :) Of course there are some twists along the way as you read which helps to keep your interest.

I highly recommend this book if you enjoy cheesy romance novels.  I say cheesy because all of his books are the same and very predictable.  I think that's what I love about them.  Do enjoy!
